"Yellow Belly is the musical project of multi-instrumentalist, composer & producer Dominique Finnegan.

She creates a lush mix of beautiful, and at times, melancholic melodies set in an atmospheric landscape. Her evocative vocals create a haunting and intelligent audio experience delivered with fragility but always with her own signature poetic persistence. Pairing sparse electronic beats with ethereal vocals, she has created a world of and texture, marrying two disparate sounds together.

'Spiral' beautifully showcases the otherworldly Yellow Belly combination of ethereal vocals, codeine-syrup beats, the odd effect-heavy guitar figure, and comfort-blanket waves of emotive synth.

"Spiral explores the ideas of mortality and stagnation" explains Dominique. "It is dissecting a deeply embedded societal mindset behind the limited time we have to achieve our potential. Deeply immersive, it dives into a hopelessness and apathy that has only been touched upon in previous Yellow Belly albums."

For the uninitiated, think of Cocteau Twins, mixed with Portishead, mixed with Warpaint.
